Black Star was created in 2012 with the mission to bring tailored service and quality products back the Permian Basin.  We are a locally owned and operated chemical and service company that was started without outside investment or influence.

The business took roots in Monahans, TX and quickly out grew its original site.  We then expanded to Odessa and brought along several new services including, completion chemical and valves in the first few years. 

 

With the continued success in those initial 3 sectors we decided it was time in 2017 to expand once again and opened up a new shop in Midland to focus on pressure pumping, acidizing, and spill containment. 

 

In 2018 we expanded once again into large diameter coil tubing units capable of holding 25,000 ft of 2 3/8 pipe, and tripled our pumping fleet. 

 

2019 has shifted focus back on our expanding chemical division with the addition of drilling and production chemical with a custom blending facility, and an in-house lab.  We feel our competitive advantage of blending our products in the Permian will allow us to achieve new goals here in the Permian and beyond.
